The UK genomic tools developer, RevoluGen Ltd., today announces it has signed an agreement with A4P Logistics, a company providing logistics solutions to Bio-Pharma, to handle logistics surrounding the organization of production, storage and package orders to supply Merck KgaA with RevoluGen’s Fire Monkey/ Fire Flower DNA extraction and size selection product. First production batches are expected to arrive in mid-2020.
In July 2019, RevoluGen signed a global distribution agreement with Merck KGaA. Under the non-exclusive agreement, Merck KGaA, based in Darmstadt, Germany, will distribute RevoluGen's Fire Monkey/Fire Flower kit, which uses spin columns to extract high molecular weight DNA with an average length of 100 kb or more from animal and bacterial cells, followed by the removal of DNA fragments smaller than 10 kb.
Pieter Haitsma Mulier, CEO of RevoluGen commented “The agreement with A4P logistics will enable us to efficiently meet demand for our Fire Monkey/ Fire Flower high-molecular weight DNA extraction and size selection kit, via our distribution agreement with Merck KGaA.”
